Good Grade Scholarships

The scholarship for every level of undergraduates who hold the highest cumulative GPA in the program and are qualified to receive an honor according to the King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang’s regulations on undergraduate education. The student has to behave in proper ways.

5,000 baht are provided for each scholarship per an academic year. The academic division of the student requesting for the scholarship is responsible for proposing the student’s name to the education funds to consider the request.

Scholarships for Students who Build a Reputation

World-class level is the competition that includes various countries from different continents and the number of participating countries is not less than 16 countries.

  • 1st place 100,000 Baht
  • 2nd place 50,000 Baht
  • 3rd place 25,000 Baht

International level is the competition that includes various countries by the competition organization must be accepted from the international and the number of participating countries is not less than 8 countries.

  • 1st place 50,000 Baht
  • 2nd place 25,000 Baht
  • 3rd place 13,000 Baht

Asian level is the competition of the countries in Asian besides ASEAN countries and the number of participating countries is not less than 5 countries.

  • 1st place 40,000 Baht
  • 2nd place 20,000 Baht
  • 3rd place 10,000 Baht

ASEAN level is the competition that includes ASEAN members and the number of participating countries is not less than 5 countries.

  • 1st place 25,000 Baht
  • 2nd place 13,000 Baht
  • 3rd place 7,000 Baht

The national level is the competition that includes at least 16 universities and / or the competition is held by a private sector, the government sector has to collaborate with.

  • Gold medal 20,000 Baht
  • Silver medal 10,000 Baht
  • Bronze medal 5,000 Baht

*Any competitions that are not in accordance with the conditions of receiving the Honor Scholarship, but the competition is annually held by a well-known organization in the country agreed by the education funds committee, the competitions can be added into the special condition for receiving the Honor Scholarship. The academic division of the students proposes the name of the organization that holds the competitions or contests to the education funds committee to make a decision.

  1. Olympic games or world-class sports is the sports tournament that includes various countries from different continents and the number of participating countries is not less than 16 countries.

    World university games are the sports tournaments that include various countries and the number of participating universities is not less than 8 universities

    • Gold medal 60,000 Baht
    • Silver medal 30,000 Baht
    • Bronze medal 15,000 Baht

    Asian games are the sports tournaments that include countries in Asia besides ASEAN countries and the number of participating countries is not less than 5 countries

    • Gold medal 50,000 Baht
    • Silver medal 25,000 Baht
    • Bronze medal 13,000 Baht

    ASEAN games is the sports tournaments in which ASEAN members participate in the competition and the number of participating countries is not less than 5 countries.

    University Games of Thailand are the sports tournaments that include various universities and the number of participating universities is not less than 16 universities.

The academic division of the students winning the prize is responsible for proposing the issue to the education funds committee to make a decision.

(A) National level will be exempted from the lump sum tuition fees payment for 2 semesters after the semester that the scholarship is approved.

(B) Above the international level will be exempted from the lump sum tuition fees payment throughout the program after the semester that the scholarship is approved.

There are 2 types of scholarships for making a great reputation for the institute including,

  1. Personal Scholarship: the scholarship will be provided for each person.
  2. Team Scholarship: double of the scholarship is provided and equally divided to each person in the team. If outsiders are included in the team, only the students of the institute will receive the scholarship.

Scholarships for Student who Benefits the Institution

  • Be an undergraduate student from first year to fourth year who participates in or contributes to the institute in any aspects following the conditions of the education funds’ committee such as activities, volunteers, and academics.
  • The applicant has to have proper conduct (The faculty is responsible for proposing the name of the applicants).

5,000 baht are provided for each scholarship by the academic division of the student making contributions to the institute is responsible for proposing the student’s name to the education funds committee to make a decision.

Academic Presentation Scholarships

  • Be a student at the institute by having a student status while applying for the academic presentation support scholarship.
  • Do not be a scholarship recipient or have never received a full scholarship of other funds. The scholarship provides the expenses for the publication of academic work, except for receiving a part of scholarship.
  • If the academic division of the student requesting for the fund already has the same type of fund, the students can request for only one of them.
  • Do not be a person who is exempted from the tuition fee by the institution.

Criteria for Support

  1. The types of work publication that are qualified to be funded are as follows:

1.1 The publication of work in the standardized academic journals.

1.2 Academic presentation and the presentation of the work at the conferences in the proceedings format where are participated by the academic boards or experts who are well-known and accepted in the academic field for peer review.

1.3 Journals, conferences, or professional meetings that students publish or submit the academic work must be approved by the Academic Committee. For graduate students, it can be used as a condition for graduation.

2. The work that students used for making a request for the scholarship has to be a part of the student’s curriculum.

3. The work that students used for applying for the scholarship need to have the name of the student who owns the work together with the advisor's name.

Criteria for Funding

  1. Students have to show the evidence of registration for the academic conference by specifying the student's name for the registrant only, and then the student can request for the academic work presentation funding.

2. The number of scholarships that students are eligible to receive for academic presentations are as follows:

2.1 One scholarship is provided for each undergraduate student throughout the program for the publication in the academic journals and academic conferences in the domestic and overseas.

2.2  ระดับปริญญาโท

  • กรณีที่ตีพิมพ์หรือเสนอผลงานทางวิชาการที่สามารถใช้เป็นเงื่อนไขในการสำเร็จการศึกษาได้ นักศึกษามีสิทธิ์ได้รับทุนสนับสนุนคนละไม่เกิน 1 ครั้งต่อปี หรือ 2 ครั้งตลอดหลักสูตรการศึกษาสำหรับการตีพิมพ์ในวารสารวิชาการ และการประชุมทางวิชาการในประเทศและต่างประเทศ
  • กรณีที่ตีพิมพ์หรือเสนอผลงานทางวิชาการที่ไม่สามารถใช้เป็นเงื่อนไขในการสำเร็จการศึกษาได้ นักศึกษามีสิทธิ์ได้รับทุนสนับสนุนคนละไม่เกิน 1 ครั้งตลอดหลักสูตรการศึกษาสำหรับการตีพิมพ์ในวารสารวิชาการ และการประชุมทางวิชาการในประเทศและต่างประเทศ

2.3  ระดับปริญญาเอก

  • กรณีที่ตีพิมพ์หรือเสนอผลงานทางวิชาการที่สามารถใช้เป็นเงื่อนไขในการสำเร็จการศึกษาได้ นักศึกษามีสิทธิ์ได้รับทุนสนับสนุนคนละไม่เกิน 1 ครั้งต่อปี หรือ 3 ครั้งตลอดหลักสูตรการศึกษาสำหรับการตีพิมพ์ในวารสารวิชาการ และการประชุมทางวิชาการในประเทศและต่างประเทศ
  • กรณีที่ตีพิมพ์หรือเสนอผลงานทางวิชาการที่ไม่สามารถใช้เป็นเงื่อนไขในการสำเร็จการศึกษาได้ นักศึกษามีสิทธิ์ได้รับทุนสนับสนุนคนละไม่เกิน 1 ครั้งตลอดหลักสูตรการศึกษาสำหรับการตีพิมพ์ในวารสารวิชาการ และการประชุมทางวิชาการในประเทศและต่างประเทศ

3. The Rate of Funding to Support the Academic Work Presentation

3.1 For the publication of work in a journal, the fund is provided for 5,000 baht per a work published in each journal by the receipt for publication fee payment has to be prepared for a reimbursement process.

3.2 The publication of academic work and the work presentation in the conferences can be classified as follows:

3.2.1 For the national conferences, the fund is provided following the actual expenses spent for the publication of the academic work, but not more than 4,500 baht. For the international conferences, the fund is also provided following the actual expenses spent for the publication of the academic work, but not more than 7,500 baht. The details are as follows:

(A) Registrar fee for attending the conference of the student following the actual rate of registrar fee. The student has to prepare the evidence for the registrar and documents showing the registrar schedule.

(B) Transportation expenses according to the actual expenses by preparing the transportation ticket as evidence and the student has to certify the travel.

(C) Accommodation costs following the actual costs, but not more than 1,000/person/night. Prepare the evidence of the accommodation costs.

3.2.2 The funding to support the expenses on the work publication abroad can be requested following the actual expenses, but not more than 12,000 baht. The details are as follows:

(A) Registrar fee for attending the conference of the student following the actual rate of registrar fee. The student has to prepare the evidence for the registrar and documents showing the registrar schedule.

(B) Transportation expenses according to the actual expenses by preparing the transportation ticket as evidence and the student has to certify the travel.

(C) Accommodation costs following the actual costs by preparing the evidence to certify the accommodation costs.

3.3.3 The student has to submit the request for funding approval to the vice-rector of the student development and alumni relations before submitting your work to be published in a journal at least 7 working days in advance or from the Office of Student Development and Alumni is informed of the request until the first day of a conference, depending on each case.

Submit at least 7 working days before participating in any conferences.

  1. A request form for academic work presentation scholarship (signed by the advisor).
  2. A copy of student ID or certificate of student status.
  3. Evidence of paying the registration fee.
  4. Evidence for consent to publish academic work and the work schedule.
  5. The names of journals and conferences approved by the academic council.
  6. Photos of the work that will be used for the publication.
  7. The article that will be used for the publication.

Return from the work presentation place not more than 30 days since the date of travelling.

  2. Photos of work that is published.
  3. An original copy of the academic registration (The receipt of registration fee payment for the presentation).
  4. An original copy of travelling evidence (Fare receipt + ticket) certified the travel to the conferences.
  5. An original copy of accommodation costs (Accommodation receipt + the detail of staying).
  6. A copy of savings deposit account book of 3 banks in Bangkok branch or boundary including Krung Thai, Krungsri and SCB.
  7. A copy of the last update page of the bank account book that it is not more than 2 months of activation.

Notes Documents/Evidences/Receipts need to have details as follows:

  1. Registrant's name / receipts have to be the name of the students who request the scholarship for the academic work presentation
  2. Use the address of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang 1 Village No.1, Chalong Krung 1 Lane, Ladkrabang Sub-district, Ladkrabang District, Bangkok, 10520

In case a scholarship recipient is an international student, the advisor has to take care of the student’s documents and reimbursement processes.

Scholarships for Foreign Exchange and Internship Programs

  • The students who are studying in a bachelor's degree with a cumulative GPA at least 3.00 or the students who are studying in the graduate level and enroll in courses according to the study plan specified by the program.
  • Do not be a criminal or violate student discipline.

Request for a support funding criterion

  1. The foreign exchange or internships program must be cooperated with institutions of education abroad in the top 300 of the QS World University Rankings or THE World University Rankings of the academic year that is requested for the scholarship. On the other hand, the organization where the institute has a policy on exchange activities between each other or have a written cooperation agreement.

2. Scholarship recipients have to contact the advisors and higher institutions of education or organizations abroad to request for being the exchange students or interns.

3. Scholarship recipients have to submit the evidence of acceptance from the advisor, the head of department, the academic department administrators and institutions of education or organizations in foreign countries to the Student Exchange Subcommittee for consideration.

4. In case students receive a foreign exchange or internship scholarship, but still not receive the fund in the total number of expenses, the academic division of the students is able to support this type of fund to students but it must not exceed the total expenses incurred.

5. Scholarship recipients have to submit a letter of consent to receive a foreign exchange or internship scholarship before travel to exchange or train abroad at the Office of Foreign Affairs, Office of the President following the form attached with this announcement.

6. The duration of the exchange or internship program is divided into 2 cases,

6.1 กรณีเป็นสถาบันอุดมศึกษาหรือสถานประกอบการต่างประเทศที่มีบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือกับสถาบัน ให้มีระยะเวลาการแลกเปลี่ยนหรือฝึกงานดังนี้

(A) An exchange or internship program with a duration less than 30 days.

(B) An exchange or internship program with a duration more than 30 days.

6.2 In case the institutions of education or international organizations do not have a memorandum of cooperation with the institute must have the duration of the exchange or internship program more than 90 days.

Criteria for a Support Payment

The scholarship recipients will receive financial support for exchanges or internships with higher education institutions overseas as follows:

  1. In case being scholarship recipients with a period of exchange or internship is in accordance with item 6.1 and have no other funding, receive a lump sum subsidy for 50,000 baht.
  2. In case being scholarship recipients with the exchange or internship periods is in accordance with items 6.1 or 6.2, receive a lump sum subsidy according to the national zones as follows:

(A) The United States and Canada will receive a grant of 60,000 baht.

(B) European countries, Australia, and New Zealand will receive a grant of 50,000 baht.

(C) Japan, Singapore, South Korea, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong will receive a grant of 40,000 baht.

(D) Apart from those specified countries, receive a grant of 20,000 baht.

Result’s Report of Foreign Exchange or Internship Program

  1. The scholarship recipients have to report the results of their academic exchange or internship program with higher education institutions or foreign organizations to the Student Exchange Subcommittee within 30 days from the day after the day returning to Thailand.
  2. If the scholarship recipients do not report their participation in the activities within the time specified in item 1, they will not receive the next grant.
  1. In case the exchange or internship activity is canceled by higher education institutions or foreign organizations.
  2. In the case students need to terminate the exchange or internship activities or attend but not complete as required, students have to return in 30 days or 90 days depending on each case.
  3. In the case the institute finds out that the students do not participate in the exchange or internship activities as stated when applying for the scholarship.
  4. In the case students commit a crime or violate laws while participating in exchange or internship activities that cause the institute to lose a reputation, authorize the subcommittee of consideration student exchanges scholarships to summon students back and the recipients have to refund the scholarship.
  5. In the case of item 1 and 2, the student exchange subcommittee may consider the exempt from making a repayment for the scholarship.
  6. The recipient must be approved by the student exchange subcommittee if the recipient is necessary to change the plans for foreign exchange or internship activities, or change institutions of education or change organizations from the initial when applying for the scholarship.
  7. In the case of the students who do an internship at foreign organizations, employ the income of the academic division of the students requesting for the scholarship to pay as support money following this announcement.
  8. Authorize the fund-consideration subcommittee of student exchange scholarships to specify the number of scholarships in each academic year, including reserve the right to consider whether students should be approved or disapproved for receiving a scholarship even if the applicants are qualified according to the conditions as specified in the scholarship for exchange institution of education.
